2024 Air Shows and Events
Stockton Airport's Kids Day, November 9th
What an easy event to show up at, when it's at your home airport! Jan brought the star of the show, her Stinson L-5, and was gracious enough to let kids crawl aboard for some excitement and hopefully a future career in aviation. Also present was the newly acquired Douglas A-26, Beechcraft Model 18, Lockheed PV-2D Harpoon, and a couple of pups that got way too much attention! Thanks Stockton Airport for the wonderful community event.

A lovely turnout for the premiere of the new Tom Hanks, Apple+ TV Series that Taigh Ramey himself had a part in making as authentic as possible. We had a full house for the two episode premire, so much that we decided to have a showing every Friday for the rest of the series! Thank you, all who showed up.

Reno Air Races, September 13th-18th
Vintage Aircraft's own Twin Beech D-18S attends and participates in the NAHI display at the Reno Air Races. She didn't win any awards, but certainly represented the Beech community very well! Photo credited to Ron Kaplan, which shows one of the many school tours done during the show.
Manteca Memorial Flyover, May 29th
The Stockton Field Aviation Museum's PV-2D as well as our own Twin Beech D-18S were asked to fly over the local Memorial Day parade, so of course we couldn't say no! And as the topping on the already wonderful cake, WWII Veteran Pat Patteson flew the PV-2D, as he had flown other PV's in WWII. Thank you for your service, Pat!
Travis AFB Air Show, May 12th-15th
The Stockton Field Aviation Museum's PV-2D Harpoon starts off the Air Show season by attending the Travis AFB's bi-annual air show, as a static display aircraft. WWII Veteran Pat Patteson once again graces the cockpit for the flight to and from the show, and was even given a challenge coin from the the Base Commander during the air show performer's dinner that night. Go Pat! He even flew the Twin Beech back home with one of our pilots, Robin Gearey.
Banana Republic Photoshoot, February 12th

Thanks to Coy Pfaff, Jayson Owen, and Peter Houghton, we had two very happy vets! WWII Veterans Pat Patteson and Don Long were given an opportunity to fly in Coy's PBY. Both men trained and flew in PBYs during WWII. Don Long was even a radio man and he was standing watch on his PBY in Kaneohe Bay on the morning of December 7th, 1941.
